Thornybush Game Reserve

I took these photos during a 3-day stay at Thornybush Game Reserve in South Africa while on a 16-day alumni tour in Southern Africa. Thornybush is a private reserve that is adjacent to and affiliated with Kruger National Park. The animals here have the best of both worlds; they are protected from hunters and poachers, yet they are unfenced and totally free. During our 3-day stay, we went on six awesome game drives. Riding in a totally open Land Cruiser we were incredibly close to so many animals. It was amazing. I took a lot of video (especially of elephants), so in addition to this album, check out the two videos on the Home Page, and for more about Thornybush, see my post on the travel website Reflections Enroute.
