Chobe National Park, Botswana

At the end of a 16-day alumni tour in Southern Africa we spent two amazing days in Chobe National Park in Botswana. We went on three game drives in Land Cruisers and two incredible cruises on the Chobe River. On our first morning we headed out on a game drive before dawn and saw the most beautiful sunrise I’ve ever seen. Just minutes, later we came upon a pride of lions who were just Lion in the sand on the road. We stopped and watched them for several minutes, and I got some nice video of the momma lion taking a stick away from her cub. Midday, we went on our second river cruise and had lunch on the boat while we were surrounded by hundreds of elephants. A large group of them swam (snorkels up) from the Botswana side to the Namibia side of the Chobe River. The lion video and many other video clips are included in the Chobe NP video on the Home Page.
